The Ferrari 365 GTC represents one of Maranello’s most elegant expressions of the two-seat grand tourer formula. Produced for just two years from 1968 to 1969, with only 150 examples built, these refined berlinettas combine the powerful 4.4-liter Colombo V12 with sophisticated Pininfarina styling. The 365 GTC’s limited production numbers and brief manufacturing period create unique considerations for collectors and sellers. Beverly Hills Car Club’s specialized knowledge of these rare machines ensures optimal and true valuations.
Produced between 1968 and 1970, just 168 examples of the Coupe Ferrari 365 GTC (22 of which were right hand drive examples) were made before its replacement by the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona. This 2-seat Coupe was the successor to the Ferrari 330 GTC, which ended production in 1968. Both cars shared multiple parts, the main difference being the 4.4-Liter engine evolution compared to the previous 4-Liter V12, increasing low-end torque and power from 300 to 320hp. Design cues were also mostly unchanged, except for the vents being moved from behind the wheels to the bonnet. The gearbox was integrated with the final drive, which gave the Ferrari 365 GTC a balanced 50/50 weight distribution ratio. Just like the Ferrari 330 GTC, the 365 featured an independent rear suspension with coil springs and wishbones. The brakes were all-round servo-assisted discs, with a split circuit system.
With its FR layout and 4.4-Liter Colombo V12 engine with 3 Weber twin-choke 40 DFI carburetors, the Ferrari 365 GTC was a wonderfully powerful yet smooth drivers car 0 even by todays standards. The 320hp was transmitted to the wheels via a 5-speed all synchromesh transmission and the 3,198 lb curb weight allowed the car a very efficient acceleration. This is just one of the many reasons why the Ferrari 365 GTC is well loved by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
