   This is a beautiful, 1955 Mercedes Benz 190SL, has been in California since new, and has only had 2 owners its entire life, it also has the rare and sought after Gullwing seats which only came on the very early 190SL’s. 1955 marked the first year of production for the iconic 190SL Mercedes Benz, the cars California Title shows the year as 56’ but the VIN# verifies that it is in fact a 55’. This SL has been kept in outstanding shape and it really shows.

This car has a beautiful eye catching color combination which really makes it a unique piece! However the paint is a driver quality, not a show paint job, it has some small blemishes. The car has brand new set of tires all around. The spare comes with the car too. The interior is very nice, with brand new carpets and a brand new canvas Soft Top. The gauge cluster looks nice and clean and is free of cracks.
   Mechanically, this little Mercedes Benz 190SL runs and drives great! We just, flushed the gas tank, gave the car a complete tune up, all new wheel cylinders, new front brake shoes, and all new hoses for the cooling system. The engine compartment is all stock, except for the Webber carb conversion which helps the car run nice and smooth. This car always starts right up and floats down the road. The suspension rides nice and the car handles very well. The transmission shifts nice and smooth.
   This '55 190SL is a rare find, because of its absolutely beautiful condition. This car was obviously well taken care of over the years and garage kept. This car has the best of everything and is ready to drive or show and enjoy right now.
